Dr. Badour Receives Pilot Grant to Evaluate PTSD Treatment in Patients Receiving Medication-Assisted Treatment for Opioid Use Disorders

Dr. Badour received a pilot award from the University of Kentucky Substance Use Priority Research Area (SUPRA) to evaluate feasibility, acceptability, and preliminary efficacy of a 12-session cognitive behavioral treatment for PTSD and substance use disorders [Concurrent Treatment of PTSD and Substance Use Disorders Using Prolonged Exposure (COPE)] among patients receiving medication-assisted treatment for opioid use disorders at the UK Psychiatry Supportive Medication and Recovery Treatment (SMART) program.
