Abbey Loar and Zach Siegel Awarded Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowships May 27, 2022 Congratulations to Abbey Loar, who was awarded a Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURE) from the UK College of Arts and Sciences and to Zach Siegel, who was awarded a Commonwealth Undergraduate Research Experience (CURE) Fellowship from the UK Office for Undergraduate Research. These fellowships will support Abbey and Zach to conduct research in the STARRC lab this summer.

Congratulations to Christopher Penn who was was selected for the UNited in True racial Equity (UNITE) Predoctoral Research Enhancement Award. This program seeks to implement evidence-based strategies to enhance research training for diverse scholars. 
Christopher is serving as the President of the UK Psychology Advocacy Group. The graduate student advocacy group aims to provide opportunities to advance psychological health, to increase awareness about mental health issues, and to reduce stigma surrounding mental illnesses through community outreach, public education, and legislative advocacy. 
Congratulations to Jessica, who was awarded a $5,000 Summer Graduate Research Fellowship from the University of Kentucky Center for Equality and Social Justice to support her dissertation research project focused on testing a trauma-informed and culturally sensitive model of sexual health, sexual risk behavior, and intimate partner violence among young adult Latinas.
