Summer Williams and Caitlyn Hood Awarded SUPRA Super Students Grant

STARRC undergraduate student Summer Williams and graduate student Caitlyn Hood were awarded a grant for a collaborative research project from the UK Substance Use Priority Research Area (SUPRA) under the faculty mentorship of Dr. Christal Badour and Dr. Michele Staton to study the relationship between interpersonal violence and substance use risk among incarcerated women in rural Appalachia. Summer will be presenting the findings from her work at the UK Annual Showcase of Undergraduate Research Scholars.
